Teyana Taylor is an American singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, and model. She was born on December 10, 1990, in Harlem, New York City.

She first gained national attention in 2007 when she appeared on MTV’s reality show My Super Sweet 16.

In 2012, Teyana signed to Kanye West’s record label, GOOD Music, and released her debut mixtape, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor.

She has since released several more mixtapes and albums, including K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy) in 2018, which was produced by West.

Aside from her music career, Taylor has also appeared in several films and television shows, including Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming, Madea’s Big Happy Family and The Breaks.

She has also modeled for several fashion brands, including Adidas, Reebok, and Puma.

She married NBA player Iman Shumpert in 2016, and the couple has two children together; they divorced in September 2023.

Teyana and Iman Shumpert have two children together, Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr. and Rue Rose Shumpert.

Junie was born in December 2015 while Rue was born in September 2020.

Teyana has been open about her parenting skills and the challenges of raising two girls.

She has also shared that being on the family reality show is to capture her daughters’ growth although she has not expressed any desire to have more children.
